Shop/Dine/Drink Out for CFLT's LOCALvore event on May 7th

Join us in celebrating local businesses supporting farmland preservation in the South Sound! The Community Farm Land Trust (CFLT) is excited to be hosting the 5th annual LOCALvore event in Olympia, WA on Wednesday, May 7th. LOCALvore is a Shop/Dine/Drink Out Event where local businesses have committed to donating a portion of their sales for the day to CFLT.
This event showcases the importance of keeping your dollars local, because when we invest in our local businesses and farms, they give back to our community through charity events, donations, and to non-profits like the CFLT. When you support the diversity of local entrepreneurs you help them in creating and sustaining more local jobs. Spending money locally helps to reduce our carbon footprint. Join us as conscious consumers in preserving farmland and local businesses by shopping, dining, and drinking out on May 8th for the Community Farm Land Trust's LOCALvore event. Matchless Makers Market-A Holiday Benefit for CFLTThanks to everyone that made it out to Matchless for the Makers Market this year. We were so thrilled to connect with new farms and more people in our community for this holiday event. We had an amazing selection of unique vendors including some local farms! It's always great to support local artists, businesses, farms, and nonprofits like the Community Farm Land Trust all in one place. This is the true spirit of our community and the holidays wrapped in one event. We appreciate everyone that came out to support and a special thank you to our vendors, City Pizza, and Matchless Brewing.

Thank you to our community of supporters for showing up and giving generously to our mission. It takes a village and we couldn’t be happier with the success of our event this year. Sometimes, you have to take a leap of faith and try something different and we did just that with Farms Forever this year. We learned a lot and are already excited about next year’s event! We are pleased to announce that we raised over $45,000 for Farms Forever and over $15,000 of this was direct financial donations at the event.

Thank you for showing up in whatever capacity suited best for your budget —buying tickets, bidding on auction items, purchasing raffle tickets or flowers, donating to our dessert dash, sharing our event in your networks, and more! You put the COMMUNITY in Community Farm Land Trust! We appreciate each and everyone one of you and were blessed to have you at our table this year! Thank you for a Successful 2023 Farms Forever!

We are so honored that our community of supporters, long-time supporters and new, showed up on August 19, 2023 at Riverbend Ranch to celebrate preserving farms forever in the South Sound. What an outstanding group of attendees, volunteers, board (former and current), and staff gathered together for the common goal of raising money for the Community Farm Land Trust. We enjoyed the engaging conversations, the connections that were made, the glasses raised, and the food we shared in community together. We whole heartedly appreciate all the financial contributions we received. A special thank you to Riverbend Ranch for the beautiful venue and setting for our event as the wonderful beef and pork supplied to us for our event.
From all of the staff and board at the Community Farm Land Trust, we thank you! Your efforts and contributions support our ongoing work by helping to secure our operating costs and allow our board and staff to continue their important work of preserving local farmland from development. In addition, the funds we raised will ensure that our Fresh from the Farm Guide remains a free resource to our community. The guide is essential in highlighting the important work, products, and services of our local farms and food culture.

Thank You to everyone who came out to our Farmtastic 25th Anniversary Celebration and Farm Tour on July 23, 2022. We had so much fun connecting with folks at Scatter Creek Farm and Conservancy and the new James Family Historic Farm. Thanks to Kirsop Farm and Common Ground CSA Farm for hosting us and giving us a tour of your farm operations. Its so great to connect people with where their food comes from and how much work happens to bring food to our tables. We are so grateful to the Akashic Food Truck for our delicious lunch that was provided. Special thanks to our van driver, Kim Young, Debbie Leung, and Alexis Gjurasic.
