The seeds you plant today ensure our bountiful harvests for tomorrow. YOUR ‘seeds’ or donations to the CFLT ensure we can keep OUR roots firmly planted in the South Sound community. Together, we create abundance!
Fill out this simple form to begin your giving partnership. If you would like more information, please contact Carol Linnebur. We have preserved 216 acres of farmland in the South Sound; expanded the Fresh From The Farm Guide; and strengthened our partnerships with area businesses, organizations, and individuals because of your support. Thank you for your trust in our stewardship of your 'Seeds' toward promoting farms and farming forever in our region. |
IRA Charitable GiftsSave on taxes by giving from your IRA. If you are 70½ or older, giving from your Individual Retirement Account (IRA) can help reduce your taxable income — and for those over 73 who must take a Required Minimum Distribution (RMD), an IRA gift is a simple way to fulfill it!
The IRA Charitable Rollover provision allows individuals who have reached age 70½ to donate up to $100,000 to charitable organizations directly from their IRA, without treating the distribution as taxable income. Please note that IRA charitable rollover gifts do not qualify for a charitable deduction. Contact your IRA administrator for provision mandates. Gifts of Stock, Bonds, or Mutual FundsAvoid capital gains tax by donating stocks, bonds, or mutual funds to the Community Farm Land Trust. You will also receive the benefit of an immediate income tax deduction for the fair market value (average high and low prices on the day of the transfer). To receive the full deduction the gifted securities must have been held by you for more than one year.
Donor Advised FundsDonor-Advised Funds (DAFs) are investment accounts used solely for supporting charitable organizations. You can learn more about starting a DAF here: Community Foundation of South Puget Sound or Grays Harbor Community Foundation.
