Join Us for 2025 Farms Forever

at Little Creek Casino Resort

We’re honored to once again partner with the Squaxin Island Tribe to host Farms Forever(FF)—Dinner and Auction  at Little Creek Casino Resort this year. We are already working with the new chef to develop a unique farm forward meal for you. 
We’re excited to bring back our incredible auctioneer, Matt Smith from the Actors  Group in Seattle, for our live auction and dessert dash this year.  We also plan to have a few silent auction items for you to bid on during our happy hour.

We’re happy to announce Farms Forever tickets are now on available through our auction website. This year, we are offering several options for discounted tickets.  
  • ​
  • $150 Individual Tickets: These tickets are valid for one individual seat for Community Farm Land Trust's Farms Forever Farm to Table Dinner on Saturday, Aug. 16, 2025 at Little Creek Casino Resort.
  • $125 Farmer Tickets: Tickets for farmers will be discounted $25 from now until we sell out. Limited number of farmer tickets available. More may be released as we get closer to the event, stay tuned. 
    • ​Farmers may purchase discounted tickets even after the June 30th- early bird cut off date. 
    • Community members can purchase farmer tickets for a farmer of their choice or we will give to a farmer who expressed interest in attending.
  • $1000 Farms Forever Table (8 seats) : Table purchases include 8 tickets for you and your guests. These tickets are priced at the $25 off per ticket price and available now until we sell out. Limited number of tables available.

Introducing Hilary Aten Our Keynote Speaker

Bridging the Gap: Addressing Farmland Loss Through Access & Affordability

We are excited to welcome Hilary Aten as our Keynote Speaker for Farms Forever this year! Hilary joined the Washington State Conservation Commission in September 2024. Hilary joined the Commission after leading farmland preservation and stewardship efforts for a Washington nonprofit land trust since 2011. A native of Northern Michigan, Hilary has worked on land conservation and community land stewardship efforts in Washington State and across the US for more than two decades. She brings experience with land conservation transactions, conservation planning, and policy development to her role at the Commission. Hilary holds a BA in Political Science from Kalamazoo College and a Master's in Public Administration from the University of Texas. When off work, she enjoys spending time with her family both in Seattle and the Yakima Valley, exploring the outdoors, and spending as much time on the water as possible. Katherine Saylors Farms Forever Event Coordinator

​Katherine is an experienced program and event coordinator with more than 10 years of success leading community events, youth-centered programming, and fundraising efforts across nonprofit and public sectors. We are grateful to have Katherine assisting with our event this year helping us with all things Farms Forever and coordinating our registration & guest services. 

“My work is grounded in equity, creativity, and a strong commitment to bringing people together in meaningful ways. I bring a collaborative spirit, strong problem-solving skills, and a genuine passion for building community through inclusive, well-executed events. I’m enthusiastic about supporting the Farms Forever Gala and the mission of preserving farmland and food accessibility in our region.”

Matt Smith
Auctioneer
​

Matt is a graduate of The Missouri Auction School and has facilitated hundreds of auctions. Add that to his years of  improvisational theatre performance, Matt brings spontaneity and purpose to each event. Matt includes everyone in a positive way and creates an environment where everyone  is invited to participate. 

​Beyond his auctioneering, Matt teaches improv workshops and classes in Seattle.  He also does organizational improv for innovation and team building in the workplace. Additionally, Matt is an actor and has appeared in several films, including My Last Year with the Nuns, Outsourced, Spiderman, and Sleepless in Seattle.

Rebeca Potasnik
Master of Ceremonies

Rebeca Potasnik has a long history with the Community Farm Land Trust. In addition to being a CFLT member, she has volunteered with past fundraisers, served on the board of directors as the lessee representative from GRuB, and is currently helping the organization with some capacity building efforts.

​Rebeca is passionate about land stewardship and the ways that community land trusts provide more humane alternatives to our current economic system and help create equitable and inclusive economies.

​Seeking mouthwatering desserts for our Dessert Dash! We are open to all kinds of dessert options from cookies, cupcakes, brownies, pie, cake, and whatever your heart can dream up!
  • Each item needs to be enough for 8 servings per table. 
  • Dietary options are welcome!
​Feel good knowing that your delicious dessert will help us raise more money to preserve local farmland. And if you come to our event, you can watch people drool and bid extravagantly as they fight over your delectable creation!
